<br /> <br />Cyons Elementary School <br />338 High Street, p.O. fJoJC 559 <br />CfJons, Colorado 80Sr,O <br /> <br /> <br />November 22, 1996 <br /> <br />1996 Water Conservation & Water Use Efficiency Block Program <br /> <br />Members of the Board: <br /> <br />I would like to go on record in support of the Proposal for a Xeriscape <br />Demonstration Garden for the town of Lyons, Colorado and, more <br />specifically, Lyons Elementary School. Funding of this proposal will serve <br />specific purposes for the Elementary School. <br />1 st - The xeriscape will provide much needed landscaping to a <br />narrow strip of property that neither the town of Lyons nor the <br />school district has maintained or landscaped. <br />2nd - The xeriscape garden will provide a demonstration area that <br />coincides with the environmental studies component of the 6th <br />grade science curriculum.
