<br />.. <br /> <br />Application for Water Efficiency Grant Program: Colorado Watershed Network <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />themselves or professionals in the field of water or natural resources. These <br />facilitators are often facilitators of Projects WI LD and Learning Tree (pLT) as <br />well. <br /> <br />II. National Projed WET: Will provide Project WET learning materials to hired <br />Coordinator and communicate with Coordinator as to changes or additions to Project <br />WET programs and materials. <br /> <br />III. Colorado Division of Wildlife (CDOW): <br /> <br />A. Overview: This agency will donate office space and office infrastructure <br />(computer, telephone, fax, etc.) for hired Colorado Project WET and Water <br />Education Program Coordinator. CDOW will also provide conference <br />coordination, participant tracking and regional program assistance. <br /> <br />B. Project WILD: Partner of Project WET. Will assist in planning, coordinating, <br />and funding three-day new facilitator training and certification workshop and <br />thee-day facilitator leadership conference. CDOW's Project WILD program also <br />produces the quarterly newsletter, Colorado Connections. <br /> <br />IV. Colorado Forest Service: The forest service coordinates Project Learning Tree (pLT). <br />PLT is a partner of Project WET. The program will assist in planning, coordinating, and <br />funding three-day new facilitator training and certification workshop and three-day <br />facilitator leadership conference. <br /> <br />V. University of Northern Colorado (UNC): Supports Project WET by incorporating <br />Project WET curriculum and materials into educator studies and providing pre-service <br />teacher coordination. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />3. Major Goal and Target Audience <br /> <br />I. Goal of the Projed. <br />The goal of this project is to educate Colorado K-12 students and teachers <br />about water and the importance of this resource in the every day life of all water <br />users. This project will promote and awareness of, and respect for, water <br />resources and encourage wise use and a personal responsibility in sustainable <br />water management. <br /> <br />II. Target Audience <br />CWN will target school districts and educators through its outreach effort. In <br />addition CWN will work to expand the knowledge and number of facilitators to <br />include the additional water educational resources available. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />4. Scope of work (Tasks): <br /> <br />I. Hire Water Education Coordinator- Coordinator is responsible for the majority of tasks <br />below, including building a viable water education program that includes the Project <br />weT curricula and structure. Hiring will be complete by March 2007. <br />Responsible Party: CWN <br /> <br />CWN Match: $ 1,300 (20 hours at $65/hr)-donated <br />advertising spac~ not included in estimat,e <br /> <br />II.
