<br />,. <br /> <br />Application for Water Efficiency Grant Program: Colorado Watershed Network l.- <br /> <br />1. Training- Coordinate and conduct two three-day Facilitator Training . <br />Workshops with WILD and PLT partners. WET, WILD, and PLT will split <br />initial costs for planning and executing workshops. <br /> <br />CWCB Grant Funds: $ 3,000-Project WET hard costs portion (ed. <br />supplies) <br />$13,282 (345 hours @ 70% of $55/hr rate) <br />CW'N Match: $ 5,693 (30% of hourly rate) <br /> <br />2. Recruitment- Train 1,250 new teachers by increasing recruitment. Use River <br />Watch extensive statewide educator network to aid in the recruitment of new <br />facilitators and teachers. Complete by July of 2008. <br /> <br />CWCB Grant Funds: $ 1,771 (46 hours @ 70% of$55/hr rate) <br />CW'N Match: $ 759 (30% of hourly rate) <br /> <br />3. Evaluation- Communicate with new facilitators before, during, and after <br />training workshop and provide feedback mechanisms that will be used to <br />establish and build upon the existing evaluation process. Standardizing the <br />process will be complete by June 2007, and evaluations will be ongoing. <br />CWCB Grant Funds: $ 2,657 (69 hours @ 70% of $55/hr rate) <br />CW'NMatch: $ 1,139 (30% of hourly rate) <br /> <br />4. New Facilitator Support- Provide continuing support to new facilitators <br />throughout the duration of the grant program. Put facilitators in contact with <br />interested teachers; answer questions about the curricula, etc. Ongoing. <br />CWCB Grant Funds: $ 4,427 (115 hours @ 70% of $55/hr rate) <br />CW'N Match: $ 1,898 (30% of hourly rate) <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />5. Remove Barriers to Participation- Discuss with current Project WET <br />teachers, facilitators, and others that could be interested in water education. <br />Detemllne what the barriers to participating are. Rectify possible barriers in <br />partnership with facilitators. lIDs task will operate in tandem with task II.A.2. <br />While the task is ongoing through the grant's duration, the identification of <br />barriers that can be resolved will be complete by September 2007. <br />CWCB Grant Funds: $ 4,427 (115 hours @ 70% of$55/hr rate) <br />CWN Match: $ 1,898 (30% of hourly rate) <br /> <br />B. Support existing volunteer facilitators and teachers <br />1. Facilitator Support- Communicate with existing 144 facilitators by mail, e- <br />mail or in person about program changes and updates, the latest information <br />and materials in the field of water resources, and provide workshop materials <br />and feedback mechanisms. lIDs task will be ongoing throughout grant <br />duration. <br /> <br />CWCB Grant Funds: <br /> <br />$ 4,000-provide educational support materials to <br />facilitators to enable them to better train <br />teachers. <br />$ 7,084 (184 hours @ 70% of$55/hr rate)-work <br />to familiarize existing facilitators in new <br />Project WET and other education curricula. <br />Help them reach out to more teachers. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Page 4 <br />
