The City of Grand Junction, the Ute Water Conservancy District,
the Clifton Water District, the Town of Palisade, and CSU Extension are involved in this public
information effort.

DRIP's mission is to encourage policies of wise and efficient use of available water supplies. Water
conservation education and outreach is our primary activity. See www.thedripwebsite.com

Our organization would fully support the project being proposed by Western Resource Advocates
(WRA)and the Colorado WaterWise Council to the Colorado Water Conservation Board utilizing HB
05-1254 Grant Funds.

The City of Grand JIDlction has agreed to sponsor one of the proposed water conservation educational
workshops here in the Grand Valley and, although the details have not been finalized, we would expect
our contribution to include meeting space, staff time, advertising and outreach to area providers and
'policy makers, and food. An estimate of this in-kind contribution is $1,500. Once details are available,
there may be other things that our DRIP partners could provide.

Please keep us informed as this effort progresses,

Sincerely,

Greg Trainor
Utility Manager
City of Grand Junction, Colorado

Cc: Elizabeth Gardener

250 NORTH 5TH STREET, GRAND JUNCTION, CO 81501 P [970] 2441554 F [970] 256 4022 WWW.e:lclry,org
