<br />o <br />o <br />"" <br />00 <br />00 <br /><.c <br /> <br />AD HOC CCM1IITEES <br />AD HOC CCM1IITEE FOR ORGANIZATIOOAL REVIEW <br /> <br />Mr. Doug Edwards, Chainnan of the Ad Hoc Reorganization Carmittee, gave <br />three reports to the ~~in Carmittee during their regularly scheduled <br />Il)eetings: October 21, January 20, and April 21. <br /> <br />The Carmittee Il)et at the Airport Marina Hotel in Dallas on August 4, 1976. <br />Sare changes in the internal structure are recOl11lla1ded. First, canbining <br />b.u of the conmittees into an EnvirormEl1ta1 Resource Conmittee to make up <br />for the addition of one new conmittee, Water Related Research Conmittee. <br />The Basic Data Carmittee and Exchange of Program InfonMtion Carmittee <br />will ranain the same. Changing over of the Ad Hoc Assessment Carmittee <br />to a Comprehensive Planning Conmittee would be appropriate as well as <br />making it a Standing Carmittee. <br /> <br />At the January meeting, Hr. Edwards was asked to send the proposed charter <br />and articles out to the rranbership for review by fOnMl request. Whether <br />or not to participate in WAAP was discussed. <br /> <br />Ad Hoc Carmittee did not meet before the April meeting. Mr. Edwards <br />reported that the conmittee had not met since the previous meeting because <br />it was not clear if the WAAP program would be approved and funded <br />or if the charter should be amended to le~ally permit contracting. <br />He will convene the conmittee for deve1op~ng charges and directives <br />When program directives becare clearer. <br /> <br />STATE AND FEDERAL REPCRI'S 00 ACTIVITI <br /> <br />-An itan of regular business for several years has been the oral five- <br />minute activity reports by AWRBIAC rranbers of their activities of <br />CoomJn interest. These reports cover legislative, planning, construction, <br />operation or other matters in the field of water and related land resources. <br />These reports generate considerable discussion and contribute much <br />toward coordination of programs. Supporting written statements are <br />appended to the minutes of each meeting. <br /> <br />RESOwrlooS <br /> <br />In appreciation for services to the Arkansas-white-Red Basins Inter- <br />Agency Carmittee, resolutions were adopted for Hessrs. Willard Lewis, <br />Geor~ C. Bailey, and Paul Wi11.more for outstanding and distinguished <br />sernce in AWRBIAC during fiscal year 1977. Resolutions were also <br />adopted for Denver Mills b Joe L. Poole. <br /> <br />11 <br />
