o a w 00 <.0 o CHAPTER III 'IEQlNlCAL PRCCRAM ACTIVITIES ANNUAL REPORTS - STANDOC <XM1I'ITEES In accordance with standing committee activities adopted by AWRBIAG 1n FY 1973, each committee dedicated one session of the Main Committee Heeting to a presentation of its annual report. The Envirormental Resources Committee did not submit a report but they are condensed from the Envirormental Quality Committee and the Outdoor Recreation, Fish and Wildlife Committee. The latter committee submitted a report. The Comprehensive Planning Committee's report is printed in Chapter II of this report. A sunrnary of each committee report follows: Outdoor Recreation, Fish and Wildlife - October 1976 - Wichita, Kansas Mr. Donald W. Ashworth, Chainnan of the Outdoor Recreation, Fish and Wildlife Committee, conducted the presentation of the report. }1r. Dean Watkins, USFWS, discussed Habitat Evaluation Procedures (HEP). A habitat appraisal team is generally composed of the lead agency, state fish and game or environmental representative, and US~~. Other points brought out were econanic losses, mitigation, and econanic and recreation developllfllt of a project and how they related to HEP. Mr. Robert W. Hichaels of the Bureau of Outdoor Recreation talked about coordination of state-level planning as it relates to recreation planning. Exchange of Program Infonnation - January 1977 - Albuquerque, NH Mr. Darrel Mach, Chainnan of the Exchan~e of Program Infonnation Standing Committee, introduced the CDmm1ttee members and conducted the program. Mr. Mach sunrnarized the status of Bureau of Reclamation activities; Mr. Jesse Range presented the sunrnary of Corps of Engineers activities; and Mr. Douglas Edwards sunrnarized Soil Conservation Service activities.
