<br />The reservoir remamed empty the remainder of the year. <br /> <br />Inflow into John Martin Reservoir during the irrigation season <br />totalled 97,850 acre feet. This was the fourth lowest summer inflow <br />since 1949-1950 and 63 per cent of the thirteen-year average. <br /> <br />Diversions downstream from John Martin Reservoir during the <br />irrigation season were only 5 per cent less than the thirteen-year aver- <br />age. Total diversions April 1 to October 31, 1961. by the ditches in <br />Colorado W. D. No. 67 were 151,002 acre feet. Ditch diversions in <br />Kansas for the same period amounted to 75,143 acre feet or 90 per cent <br />of the water crossing the statclinc in that time. <br /> <br />Total reservoir releases April 1 to October J 1 wert.:: 148,000 acre <br />feet which is 78,035 acre feet less than total diversions.
