Epperson:

As ::iecretary of the Upper .Platte and Beaver Canal Company, I have been requested
bf the members of our Board of ' Directors to notif.y you of the various suggestions or
objections which this company has in regard to the Narrows Dam Project. It is the
general opinion of the stockholders that the two main objections are as fellows:

"

1. The increased taxes which would result form the loss of the
irrigated land surrounding \leldona.

2. The loss of water which the stockholders have been rece1v~g
because of small floods. This water would be converted into
a lake rather than distributed to the farmers.

Yours very truly,

U.i?P!1i PLATTr: & Bt:AVER CANAL CO.

Harry Bloom
::'ecretary

********

COPY
Fort Morgan (Colorado) Dam -
Narrows Reservoir

September 10" 1948

"

Yr.
