<br />San Juan-Chama <br />Water Accounting <br />Albuquerque Area Office <br />June 2000 <br /> <br />The natural inflow into Heron Reservoir during the month of June was computed to <br />be 342 acre-feet (AF) as shown in Table 3. There were 2735 AF net San Juan-Chama <br />(SJ-C) losses, as shown in Table 2. There were 5019 AF diverted through Azotea <br />Tunnel this month. <br /> <br />There was a total of 141 AF of Natural (RG) released from Heron. There was 16028 <br />AF of SJ-C released in June of which 1000 AF was the City of Espanola's delivery <br />to the City of Albuquerque's (City)pool in Abiquiu which the Bureau of <br />Reclamation (USBR) leases for supplemental water (USBR lease), 15 AF was release <br />from Twining pool to the City (USBR lease) in Abiquiu, 4355 AF was released from <br />Jicarilla's pool to the City (USBR lease) in Abiquiu, 3990 AF was released from <br />the un contracted pool to the City (USBR lease) in Abiquiu, 6668 AF was released <br />from the City's pool ( 20 AF to the Middle Rio Grande Conservancy District <br />(MRGCD) in EI Vado, 6648 AF to the City's pool in Abiquiu). <br /> <br />There was a total of 12545 AF released from EI Vado, 4100 AF was released from <br />MRGCD for irrigation, 4395 AF was released from Santa Fe to the City (USBR lease) <br />in Abiquiu, 3015 AF was released from Los Alamos to the City (USBR lease) in <br />Abiquiu, 35 AF was released from Twining to the City (USBR lease) in Abiquiu, <br />1000 AF was released from Espanola to the City (USBR lease) in Abiquiu. <br /> <br />There were 43121 AF of SJ-C water released from Abiquiu, of which 1792 AF was <br />MRGCD's release for irrigation demand, 34915 AF was released from the City (USBR <br />lease) for supplemental irrigation water in the middle valley, 6414 AF was <br />released from the City for irrigation (this water was borrowed fromMRGCD and is <br />being payed back at this time). <br /> <br />There was 0.95 inches of precipitation at <br />June running average of 0.91 inches. <br />Reservoir are summarized in Tables 1-3. <br /> <br />Heron Reservoir, which is 105% of the <br />The monthly computations for Heron <br /> <br />Total inflow into Nambe Falls Reservoir was computed to be 410 AF. There were 22 <br />AF of losses on the reservoir. Table 4 summarizes San Juan-Chama water at Otowi. <br /> <br />Estimated sediment deposition in the San Juan-Chama pools at Abiquiu and Jemez <br />Canyon Reservoirs, and Cochiti Lake are presented in Tables 5A-5C. Storage and <br />evaporation of Rio Grande water in El Vado and Abiquiu Reservoirs are shown in <br />Table 6. <br /> <br />All data are provisional and subject to revision as final data are collected and <br />analyzed. <br />
