<br /> <br />Sail Juan-Chama <br />Water Accounting <br />Albuquerque Area Office <br />July 2000 <br /> <br />The natural inflow into Heron Reservoir during the month of July was computed to <br />be 143 acre-feet (AF) as shown in Table 3. There were 2566 AF net San Juan-Chama <br />(SJ-C) losses, as shown in Table 2. There were 106 AF diverted through Azotea <br />Tunnel this month. <br /> <br />There was a total of 143 AF of Natural (RG) released from Heron. There was 2889 <br />AF of SJ-C released in July of which the total was the City of Albuquerque's <br />(City) 1999 delivery to their pool in Abiquiu. <br /> <br />There was a total of 22688 AF released from El Vado, 20009 AF was released from <br />MRGCD for irrigation and payback to the City in Abiquiu, 300 AF was released from <br />Los Lunas to the City (USER lease) in Abiquiu, 2379 AF was released from Espanola <br />to the City (USER lease) in Abiquiu. <br /> <br />There were 47494 AF of SJ-C water released from Abiquiu, of which 15710 AF was <br />MRGCD's release for irrigation demand, 31784 AF was released from the City (USBR <br />lease) for supplemental irrigation water in the middle valley. <br /> <br />There was 1.12 inches of precipitation at Heron Reservoir, which is 64% of the <br />July running average of 1. 74 inches. The monthly computations for Heron <br />Reservoir are summarized in Tables }-3. <br /> <br />Total inflow into Nambe Falls Reservoir was computed to be 230 AF. There were _ <br />1.4 AF of losses on the reservoir. Table 4 summarizes San Juan-Chams water at <br />Otowi. <br /> <br />Estimated sediment deposition in the San Juan-Chama pools at Abiquiu and Jemez <br />Canyon Reservoirs, and Cochiti Lake are presented in Tables 5A-5C. Storage and <br />evaporation of Rio Grande water in El Vado and Abiquiu Reservoirs are shown in <br />Table 6. <br /> <br />All data are provisional and subject to revision as final data are collected and <br />analyzed. <br />
