<br />San Juan-Chama <br />Water Accounting <br />Albuquerque Area Office <br />August 2000 <br /> <br />The natural inflow into Heron Reservoir during the month of August was computed <br />to be 142 acre-feet (AF) as shown in Table 3. There were 2175 AF net San Juan- <br />Chama (SJ-C) losses, as shown in Table 2. There were 229 AF diverted through <br />Azotea Tunnel this month. <br /> <br />There was a total of 142 AF of Natural (RG) released from Heron. There was 13907 <br />AF of SJ-C released in August of which 12478 AF was from the City of Albuquerque <br />(City) for down stream use by the Middle Rio Grande Conservancy District (MRGCD), <br />1429 AF was released by MRGCD for supplemental irrigation water in the middle <br />valley. <br /> <br />There was a total of 19500 AF released from EI Vado, of which the total was by <br />MRGCD for irrigation needs downstream. <br /> <br />There were 24843 AF of SJ-C water released from storage in Abiquiu, of which the <br />total was fro~ the City (USBR lease) for supplemental irrigation water in the <br />middle valley. <br /> <br />There was 0.96 inches of precipitation at <br />August running average of 2.70 inches. <br />Reservoir are summarized in Tables 1-3. <br /> <br />Heron Reservoir, which is 36% of the <br />The monthly computations for Heron <br /> <br />Total inflow into Nambe Falls Reservoir was computed to be 278 AF.
