<br />San Juan-Chama <br />Water Accounting <br />Albuquerque Area Office <br />December 2000 <br /> <br />The natural inflow into Heron Reservoir during the month of December was computed <br />to be 1120 acre-feet (AF) as shown in Table 3. There were 157 AF net San Juan- <br />Chama (SJ-C) losses, as shown in Table 2. There were no diversions through <br />Azotea Tunnel this month. <br /> <br />There was a total of 127 AF of Natural (RG) released from Heron. There was 6704 <br />AF of SJ-C released in December, of which 5913 AF was City of Albuquerque (City) <br />water sent to their pool in Abiquiu, 291 AF of Nambe water released for <br />depletions at otowi, 500 AF was released from Belen to the City (USBR lease)in <br />Abiquiu. <br /> <br />The water released from EI Vado was Heron bypass. <br /> <br />There were 999 AF of SJ-C water released from Abiquiu, of which 336 AF was sent <br />to Cochiti's Rec pool, 42 AF was released from Bernalillo's pool to Otowi (letter <br />dated 11/14/2000), 586 AF was released from Santa Fe's pool to Otowi (letter <br />dated 11/14/2000), 35 AF was released for the City's pool to Otowi (letter dated <br />11/14/2000) . <br /> <br />There was 0.41 inches of precipitation at <br />December running average of 1.26 inches. <br />Reservoir are summarized in Tables 1-3. <br /> <br />Heron Reservoir, which is 33% of the <br />The monthly computations for Heron <br /> <br />Total inflow into Nambe Falls Reservoir was computed to be 209 AF. There were <br />0.80 AF of losses on the reservoir. Table 4 summarizes San Juan-Chama water at <br />Otowi. <br /> <br />Estimated sediment deposition in the San Juan-Chama pools at Abiquiu and Jemez <br />Canyon Reservoirs, and Cochiti Lake are presented in Tables 5A-5C.
