Statement: This study will be made to determine and to attempt <br />finally to provide for the total ulttmate irrigation req,uirements of the <br />basin. Wi th this in mind as the governing policy, the problem will be <br />investigated as follows: <br /> <br />(1) Survey present irrigation developlll8nt and potentially <br />irrigable areas. <br /> <br />(2) Analyze present needs for supplemental water supply and <br />future needs of additional projects. <br /> <br />(3) Determination of: possible future sources of water supply; <br />potential storage sites; engineering feasibility; preliminary evaluation; <br />tentative delineation of lands; and selection of specific projects. <br /> <br />(4) Determine relationship to other water-use and control <br />purposes. <br /> <br />(5) Formulate plan of development; analyze supply; determins <br />area to be irrigated; esttmate cost to irrigators and Federal Govern- <br />ment; and analyze economic justification. <br /> <br />b. Assignment: Department of the Interior (Bureau of Reclamation) <br /> <br />c. Assisting Agencies: State Agencies; Department of Agriculture; <br />Corps of Engineers; Department of the Interior (as) and Federal Security <br />Agency (PES). <br /> <br />d. T:1Jne of Completion: <br /> <br />e. Disposition: To be prepared as a section of the final report <br />to Congress. <br /> <br />IV-9 <br />
