<br />Water Year 1996 <br /> <br />Because Ihe mean annual inflow of 1,480 million cubic <br />melers (1,200,000 acre-feet) far exceeds the storage capacity <br />of 426 million cubic melers (345,000 acre-feet), signifiC8J1t <br />powerplant bypasses are expected under Ihe most probable <br />and maximum probable inflow scenarios. Additionally, there <br />is little chance Ihat the reservoir will nol fill during water <br />year 1996. In order to minimize high spring releases and to <br />maximize downstream fishery resources and power <br />production, Ihe reservoir will probably be drawn down to <br />minimum pool elevation 1970.0 meters (6463 feel) which <br />corresponds 10 a volume of III million cubic melers (93,000 <br />acre-feet) of live storage. <br /> <br />To meet the ahove stated operation objectives, a constant <br />release of approximately 31.2 to 34.0 cubic meters per <br />second (1,100 to 1,200 cubic feet per second) will be made <br />through the fall and winter months.
