Thus, many historical sites are located here. <br /> <br />The river is of prime importance to industry and agriculture. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Evidence of this is easily seen along the river in the <br /> <br />form of irrigation canals and water treatment works. <br /> <br />In addition to the cultural significance of the river, <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />the riverbottom land contains relatively unspoiled natural <br /> <br />areas of beauty and interest.
