Owens and Buzzard Creek Reservoirs would be constructed on

Buzzard Creek to regulate and store its excess flows for project use.

The irrigation supplies would be distributed through a group of project

facilities, including the Harrison, Brush Creek, and Colorado Canals, the

Cheney Lateral, and a series of smaller laterals branching from the main

canals. Municipal .and industrial water would be made available for sale

at the outlet works of Buzzard Creek Reservoir. Recreation facilities

would be installed at both reservoirs.

Agricultural economy studies, geologic investigations, construction mate-

rials surveys, and preparation of design data for the Bluestone Project

are continuing. Preparation of the project lands appendix is nearing

completion. A proposed feasibility report is scheduled for completion

at the end of FY 1968.

Plan formulation studies, water supply studies, geologic investigations,
and construction materials surveys on the Grand Mesa project~are continuing.

A proposed feasibility report is scheduled to be completed in FY 1969.

On the Upper Gunnison Project, plan formulation studies, engineering

surveys, and collection of basic water supply data are in progress. A

proposed feasibility report is scheduled for completion in FY 1971.

Feasibility designs and estimates have been completed for some features

of the Yellow Jacket Project. These include the Yellow Jacket Canal and

Diversion Dam, Thornburgh Dam, and Ripple Dam. Designs and estimates on

9
