{} fHl nr.

.

all remaining project features are nearing completion. Preparation of

the financial and economic ana~sis will be undertaken as soon as the

cost estimates have been completed. Writing of several chapters of the

proposed feasibility report is in progress.

It now appears that the proposed feasibility report for the Yellow Jacket
Project, scheduled for completion this fall, will be delayed until the
end of 1967 because of anticipated late receipt of cooperative reports
from other Federal agencies.

FUnds contributed by the Basalt Water Conservancy District enabled us to

initiate land classification and drainage field work on the Basalt Project

during the latter part of FY 1967. This work is continuing.

ADVANCE PLANNING
The Fruitland Mesa Project definite plan report draft is in the final
stages of review and ana~sis. The plan of development was reported on
at our last meeting. Preconstruction activities will continue during the
remainder of this fiscal year.

On the Savery-Pot Hook Project, engineering field surveys, tabulation and
ana~sis of land classification and drainage field data, water supp~
studies, and geologic investigations are in progress. Studies are being

made to see if additional lands could be included to replace lands in the

Fourmile and Timberlake areas that were determined to be nonirrigable.

SMALL RECLAMATION PROJECTS

Engineers for the Yamcola Reservoir Company, Yampa, Colorado, and the

Overland Reservoir Company, Hotchkiss, COlorado, are preparing loan

applications for their respective proposals.

10
