<br /> <br />02-03 BIJOU CANAL - is located in Weld and Morgan Counties, Colorado. It <br />serves approximately 25,000 acres of irrigated cropland in these counties. The <br />water sources are 1) diversion on the South Platte River east of Hardin, which <br />gives direct flows, 2) releases from Empire Reservoir, and 3) exchange water. <br />The Bijou Canal has approximately 128 miles of transmission ditches with the <br />two reservoirs. The canal needs include turnouts, checks, flume, canal lining, <br />and cleaning. The onfarm needs include water-control structures, ditch lining, <br />farm pipelines, land leveling, irrigation water management, and change in <br />irrigation methods. <br /> <br />02-04 RIVERSIDE CANAL - is located in Weld and Morgan Counties, Colorado. It <br />serves 21,000 acres of irrigated cropland on the north side of the South Platte <br />River. The diversion is located in Weld County east of Kersey" Colorado, on <br />the South Platte River. The Riverside Inlet carries water to the Riverside <br />Reservoir to be used as needed by the water users. The needs on the 104 mile <br />canal system include turnouts, checks, flumes, wasteway, cleaning and canal <br />lining of high seepage areas. <br /> <br />The onfarm needs include water-control structures, ditch lining, farm <br />pipeline, land leveling, irrigation water management, and change in irrigation <br />method. <br /> <br />02-05 TREMONT SNYDER CANAL - is located in Morgan County, Colorado. It serves <br />4,500 acres of irrigated cropland on the northside of the South Platte River, <br />north of Brush, Colorado. The water source is a diversion on the South Platte <br />River between Brush and Fort Morgan. The canal is 14 miles in length. The <br />canal needs include measuring units, sluice, turnouts, checks, flume, culverts, <br />canal lining, cleaning, enlargement, and other structures. <br /> <br />The onfarm needs include water-control structures, ditch lining, farm <br />pipeline, land leveling, irrigation water management, and a change in <br />irrigation method. <br /> <br />02-06 SOUTH PLATTE CANAL - is located in Washington and Logan Counties, <br />Colorado. It serves 2,049 acres of irrigated cropland on the south side of the <br />South Platte River. The water source is a diversion on the South Platte west <br />of Prewitt Reservoir. The canal is approximately 12 miles in length. The <br />canal needs include a diversion, measuring units, sluice, checks, flumers and <br />canal lining. <br /> <br />The onfarm needs include water-control structures, ditch lining, farm <br />pipelines, and irrigation water management. <br /> <br />02-07 SPRINGDALE DITCH - is located in Logan County, Colorado. It serves 3,900 <br />acres of irrigated cropland on the north s,ide of the Platte River at Sterling, <br />Colorado. The water source is a diversion on the South Platte River south of <br />Atwood, Colorado. The canal is 17 miles in length and has needs which include <br />a diversion, measuring units, a sluice, turnouts, checks, flumes, culverts, <br />canal lining, cleaning, and other structures. <br /> <br />- 14 - <br />
