<br />- 13 - <br /> <br /> <br />l'<)'~~C <br />I \ ,'L J 0 <br /> <br />01-10 LARIMER COUNTY CANAL - is located in Larimer and Weld Counties. It <br />serves 49,892 acres of irrigated cropland in these counties. The water source <br />is northwest of Ft. Collins on the Cache La Poudre River. It carries direct <br />diversions along with water for storage in 11 reservoirs. The canal length is <br />approximately 66 miles. The needs of the canal system includes minor <br />improvement on ten reservoirs, canal lining and cleaning. <br /> <br />The onfarm needs include water-control structures, ditch lining, farm <br />pipeline, land leveling, irrigation water management, and change in irrigation <br />methods. <br /> <br />01-11 DRY CREEK AND 01-12 BARNES DITCH - These ditches have been included in <br />with 01-09 Greeley and Loveland Canal. <br /> <br />01-13 JAMES DITCH - is located in Boulder County, Colorado. It serves 1,200 <br />acres or irrigated cropland on the south side of St. Vrain Creek at Longmont, <br />Colorado. The water source is a diversion on St. Vrain Creek at Lyons, <br />Colorado. It carries water for storage along with direct diversions. There <br />are 11.8 miles of canal in this system. The canal needs include turnouts, <br />checks, flumes, and canal lining. <br /> <br />The onfarm needs include water-control structures, ditch lining, farm <br />pipeline, and irrigation water management. <br /> <br />01-14 BRIGHTON DITCH - is located in Adams County, Colorado. It serves 1843 <br />acres of irrigated cropland west and northwest of Brighton, Colorado. The <br />water source is a diversion on the South Platte River, southwest of Brighton. <br />The canal needs include repair on diversion, canal lining, and realignment. <br />The onfarm needs include water-control structures, ditch lining, irrigation <br />water management, and change in irrigation method. <br /> <br />02-01 JOHNSON AND EDWARDS DITCH - is located in Washington County, Colorado. <br />It serves 1,675 acres of land on the south side of the South Platte River, <br />between the South Platte River and Prewitt Reservoir. The canal is 3.5 miles <br />in length with the water source being the South Platte River and the Prewitt <br />Inlet Ditch being the carrier from the river to its headgate. The canal needs <br />include a measuring unit and canal lining. <br /> <br />The onfarm needs include water-control structures, ditch lining, farm <br />pipeline, irrigation water management and irrigation scheduling. <br /> <br />02-02 TETSEL DITCH - is located in Morgan and Washington Counties, Colorado. <br />It serves 1,275 acres of irrigated cropland on the north side of the South <br />Platte River, southwest of Merino, Colorado. The water source is a diversion <br />on the South Platte River in Morgan County. There are 6.5 miles of canal in <br />this system. The canal needs include a diversion, measuring units, sluice, <br />turnouts, and canal lining. <br /> <br />The onfarm needs include farm pipeline, land leveling, irrigation water <br />management, and a change in irrigation method. <br />
