<br /> <br />01-05 BERGEN DITCH - is located in Jefferson County, Colorado. It serves 307 <br />acres of irrigated cropland and pastureland southwest of Denver, Colorado. The <br />water sources is a diversion on Turkey Creek south of Morri,son, Colorado. It <br />carries direct diversions along with water for storage. Bergen Ditch has 8.23 <br />miles of canal with 4 reservoirs. The needs of the canal include canal lining, <br />measuring units, turnouts, culverts, also two reservoirs are in need of repair. <br /> <br />The onfarm needs include ditch lining, land leveling, irrigation water <br />management, and a change in irrigation methods. <br /> <br />01-06 PELLA (has been combined with 01-07) <br /> <br />01-07 CLOVER BASIN, PECK, AND PELLA DITCHES - are located in Boulder County, <br />southwest of Longmont, Colorado. These ditches serve 2,345 acres of irrigated <br />cropland on the south side of St. Vrain Creek. The water source is a diversion <br />on St. Vrain Creek west of Longmont, Colorado. The system also carries storage <br />water. These are 9 miles of canal in this system. The canal needs include <br />turnouts, checks, flumes, canal lining, and other structures. <br /> <br />The onfarm needs include water-control structures, ditch lining, and <br />irrigation management. <br /> <br />01-08 GODDING DITCH - is located in Weld County, southeast of Longmont, <br />Colorado. The ditch serves 2,884 acres of irrigated cropland. The water <br />source is from Idaho Creek, which comes from Boulder Creek. There are 5.7 <br />miles of ditch east of Idaho Creek. The needs of the canal include canal <br />lining (because of the high seepage losses, gravel area) and other needed <br />structures. <br /> <br />The onfarm needs include water-control structures, ditch lining, and <br />irrigation water management. <br /> <br />01-09 GREELEY AND LOVELAND CANAL - has its head gate located in Larimer County <br />on the Big Thompson at Loveland, Colorado. The canal goes into Weld County <br />where most of the irrigated cropland served by this canal is located. It <br />carries direct diversions along with water for storage. The canal is 35 miles <br />in length and serves 17,000 acres in both Larimer and Weld Counties. One of <br />the storage reservoirs needs some repair work done on it. This system also has <br />reservoirs located above the point of diversion on the Big Thompson. Canal <br />needs include bridges, cleaning, canal lining and pipelines. <br /> <br />The onfarm needs include water-control structures, ditch lining, farm <br />pipeline, land leveling, irrigation water management, and irrigation method <br />changes. <br /> <br />- 12 - <br />
