It serves 40,926 acres of irrigated cropland on the north <br />side of the South Platte River. The water source is a diversion on the South <br />Platte River north of Hillrose in Morgan County. The water is delivered to <br />North Sterling Reservoir by the North Sterling Inlet Canal. The total length <br />of the canal plus laterals is 178 miles. The canal needs include a new <br />diversion and canal lining. <br /> <br />The onfarm needs include water-control structures, ditch lining, farm <br />pipeline, land leveling, irrigation water management, and change in irrigation <br />method. <br /> <br />02-09 FARMERS PAWNEE CANAL - is located in Logan County, Colorado. It serves <br />10,000 acres of irrigated cropland on the north side of the South Platte River, <br />near Sterling, Colorado. The water source is a diversion on the South Platte <br />River southwest of Merino, Colorado. The canal is approximately 28 miles long <br />with needs for a diversion, measuring units, a sluice, turnouts, checks, <br />flumes, culverts, canal lining, canal pipelines, cleaning, and other <br />structures. <br /> <br />The onfarm needs include water-control structures, ditch lining, farm <br />pipeline and irrigation water management. <br /> <br />03-01 JULESBURG IRRIGATION DISTRICT - is located in Logan and Sedgwick <br />Counties, Colorado. It serves 26,560 acres of irrigated cropland on the north <br />side of the South Platte River between Sterling and Julesburg, Colorado. The <br />water source is a diversion on the South Platte River. <br /> <br />Harmony Ditch delivers water to Julesburg Reservoir, which in turn <br />supplies water to Highland Canal, Settlers Ditch, and Peterson Ditch. There <br />are approximately 103 miles of conveyance canals and'ditches that serve 156 <br />farmers in this system. The needs of these canals include water-control <br />structures, canal lining, and canal pipeline. <br /> <br />The onfarm needs include ditch lining, farm pipeline, water-control <br />structures, irrigation water management, and land leveling. <br />
