Two examples are methods to maintain the Hunter'!; <br /> <br /> <br />Ho'le complex and methods to replace fish and wildlife losses in the Yuma <br /> <br />Valley drains and the river below Morelos Dam. <br /> <br />The eventual loss of fish and wl1dlife resources is a very real concern <br /> <br /> <br />to Reclamation and every effort is being made to comply with the Fish and <br /> <br />Wildlife Coordination Act. <br /> <br />2. SOURCE OF POWER <br /> <br />Subsequent to the issuance of the Draft Environmental Impact Statement dated <br /> <br />April 1, 1974, which occurred during the time the recent fuel shortage <br /> <br />prob 1 em was recei vi ng nati ona 1 attenti on, we recei ved numerous comments <br /> <br />questioning the availability and source of energy for the salinity project. <br /> <br />This matter is now under study by the Bureau of Reclamation working with <br /> <br /> <br />the various entities who are or could be involved. Before a source of <br /> <br />energy can be finally determined, this quantity of energy required must <br />be known.
