tJ .... ,~,~.

,,">,
" .....
..~.~::'

North Platte System reservoir storage will decrease by about 165,000
acre-feet by the end of the water year.

Boysen

With reasonable minimum runoff, releases from Boysen Reservoir will
be reduced to meet minimum downstream requirements after January 31.
The maximum reservoir content will be 543,300 acre-feet at the end
of July. The yearend storage of 485,400 acre-feet will be about
71 percent of normal.

Buffalo Bill

Releases from Buffalo Bill Reservoir will be maintained at about
200 ft3/s during February and 400 ft3/s during March. Thereafter,
releases will be made as required for downstream irrigation. A
maximum storage of about 318,400 acre-feet will be attained by the end
of July. The storage content at the end of September will be about
209,000 acre-feet which is 73 percent of normal.

Power Production

.0:::.
!;.'~'
:,;>.;/'~
. ~.-:

With reasonable minimum water supply and reduced irrigation deliveries,
the Western Division System will generate less energy than under
most probable water supply conditions. The Western Division System
will generate approximately 1,228 gigawatt-hours of energy during
Water Year 1978. About 2.7 gigawatt-hours of energy will be returned
to the system for power interference. An additional import of about
877 gigawatt-hours will be required from the Pick-Sloan Missouri
Basin Program, Eastern Division System, to meet the estimated Western
Division load.

35

.,
".'

..:'.;
......:..."
