This determination will be subject to
change throughout the remainder of the irrigation season by agreement
in light of any substantial changes in the prevailing conditions.
Estimates of this irrigation requirement for the three conditions of
inflow were derived by analysis of actual use in similar runoff
years when the supply of project water was ample.

....... ;
.... ..

'.
.'
........
.....

.......-.:..

.....:.'...,

~~.:;:....:::.\.

..~.:....-

Estimated supplemental irrigation deliveries from Green Mountain
Reservoir to irrigators in the Colorado River Basin are included in
the release from Green Mountain Reservoir in accordance with criteria
found on page 40.

.:....
. ,~'

:~;:<;::;-.I

';'~';..,;..~:.

The anticipated irrigation requirement of the North Platte Project
was based on the average delivery made to this project during past
years in which the available supply was ample. The Kendrick Project
demand was based on past use. However, some
holdover storage must be available prior to the start of the irri-
gation season in the event that snowmelt is inadequate to supply the
early season irrigation demands. In addition, if forecasts indicate
that the reservoir will not fill, releases are further restricted
in February, March, and early April to conserve water for late season
use.

..........

:~~&::i:!;~S

POWER REQUIREMENTS

Western Division powerloads for Water Year 1978 were determined from
previous 5-year average power loads.

'.. ."',:.
....::..:-...:
..-";:...,.

.'.
.:',':":i.:
':'.~'-:':>: .

36

~:.., .

.'~:, .

'.'.

-..:,;::.:;.:" ::,<::-::>::;;.
