The Operating Plan After February 1

If Reasonable Minimum Inflow Were Forecast

Green Mountain

Releases from the reservoir for power, replacement, and river and
reservoir regulation will reduce the storage to about 40,000 acre-
feet by April 30. During May and June, releases will be reduced to
60 ft3/s to satisfy downstream water rights on the Blue River and
allow filling of the reservoir by the end of July. With reasonable
minimum runoff, it is estimated that the cities of Colorado Springs
and Denver will deplete the Blue River by about 13,000 acre-feet
during the May-through-June period. The depletions will cause
2.7 gigawatt-hours of power interference at Green Mountain Powerplant.
Releases for downstream water users during August and September will
result in a below normal carryover storage at the end of the water
year.

Willow Creek

';')'i:.

If reasonable minimum runoff develops, Willow Creek Reservoir will
fill to 8,600 acre-feet by the end of March. All water in excess
of downstream requirements will be pumped to Lake Granby. .A total
of 22,900 acre-feet of water will be pumped during the April-July
period. With minimum required releases to the river and no additonal
pumping during August and September, a below normal carryover storage
of about 8,000 acre-feet will be left at the end of the water year.

Lake Granby

The storage content in Lake Granby will be lowered to about 100,000
acre-feet by the end of April and refilled to a maximum of 203,300
acre-feet by the end of July. Adams Tunnel diversions during the
July-September period will be limited in order to provide adequate.
storage in Lake Granby (196,000 acre-feet) for winter power generation.

East Slope - CBT Project

If reasonable minimum water supply conditions are forecast on February 1,
supplemental irrigation deliveries will be limited to a 50-60 percent
allotment for the season. Diversions through Adams Tunnel will average
about 350 ft3/s during February and March. Annual maintenance of
the Pole Hill Pole Hill Powerplant and low Granby storage will limit
tunnel diversions to about 9,300 acre-feet during April. Thereafter,
tunnel diversions will be scheduled to meet supplemental irrigation
demands of about 180,000 acre-feet.
