During April, releases from Pathfinder Reservoir will
be increased so that Alcova Reservoir will fill to elevation 5498
(179,000 acre-feet.) This level will be maintained within + 1 foot
to provide the necessary head for the Casper Canal and for recreational
purposes. About 60,000 acre-feet will be delivered during the May-
September period to meet irrigation requirements on the Kendrick
Project. Releases from Alcova Reservoir will be re-regulated in
Gray Reef Reservoir to maintain a river release that fluctuates within
permissible limits.

.~: '.

;.....
;....:.....

::::'~.:.;
'.'- .",

~/.::~::..
..,.'.

:.-.,'-.....
~. ....,:-.':.

,',.,,'"

~;":~::~~'1

Gray Ree f

Releases from Gray Reef Reservoir will average about 800 ft3/s during
February and March. Thereafter, until the beginning of the irrigation
season, releases will be scheduled so as to fill Glendo Reservoir
by the end of May. Releasesduring April and May will average about
950 ft3/s. From June through August, releases will vary reaching
a peak of about 2,000 ft3/s in July, then gradually decreasing to
1,750 ft3/s during September.

~.:::"~:',
~.:.:::~
.' :.o;~ .
......,...

p:'
~;;;~::t

;;t<:<

[~~
::':':t.\~:
:/(:.;.:

,t:2)

Glendo and Guernsey

?~f~~:
.....

Boysen

~ .... During
March, releases from Glendo will be scheduled to refill Guernsey
Reservoir and to begin the transfer of water to the Inland Lakes.
Thereafter, Glendo releases will be made as required to satisfy down-
stream irrigation needs. A maximu~ storage content of 488,000 acre-
feet will be reached by the end of May. The required irrigation
releases will lower Glendo and Guernsey Reservoirs to the desired
yearend contents of 64,000 and 20,000 acre-feet, respectively.

If most probable runoff ~onditions develop, releases from Boysen
Reservoir will be maintained at about 1,480 ft3/s from February
through July. This release will allow the reservoir to fill without
spilling hy the end of July. During August and September, releases
will be reduced to about 1,150 ft3/s to satisfy downstream irrigation
require~ents. There will be about 782,000 acre-feet of water stored
in Boysen Reservoir by the end of September which will be above normal.

.'
....~ - -'i.
....c..-.

:'-':~,.: :;.:

;~:.' .::~.

.' ..'~ .
:~', :,.-. -.'

27

-~.'
