The low carryover storage <br />in Lake Granby will limit transmountain diversions through Adams <br />Tunnel to about 98,000 acre-feet during the October-January period. <br />Of this amount, 56,400 acre-feet (58 percent) will be pumped to Carter <br />Lake. Fremont Canyon <br />Powerplant releases will be reduced during October in order to lower <br />Alcova Reservoir's water surface below the bottom of the gates to the <br />Casper Canal. The low winter operating level will prevent ice damage <br />to the Casper Canal gates. After November, releases from Pathfinder <br />and Alcova Reservoirs will be made to meet the required Gray Reef <br />Reservoir release and maintain the winter operating level in Alcova <br />Reservoir.
