<br /> <br />Page 10 <br /> <br />Construction continued on the Poncha-Midway section of the Curecanti- <br />Midway 230 KV Transmission Une. AJ3 of J\.ine 30, 1967, work on this line <br />was approximately 86 per cent complete. Also during F. Y. 1967, contracts <br />were placed for the equipment to be installed in the Midway Substation. <br />It is anticipated that specifications will be issued in August 1967 for <br />construction of the substation. stage 02 additions to Pinnacle Peak Sub- <br />station were completed by the contractor, Jelco Incorporated. The contract <br />was accepted as complete effective September 30, 1966. <br /> <br />The following tabulation shows the circuit miles of transmission lines in <br />service as of June 30, 1967: <br /> <br />345 KV <br />476.4 <br /> <br />138 KV <br />315.0 <br /> <br />230 KV <br />792.5 <br /> <br />115KV <br />117.5 <br /> <br />Total <br /> <br />1,701.4 <br /> <br />As of June 30, 1967, eight substations were in service with a total capacity <br />of 3,553,124 KVA. <br /> <br />BOSTvlICK PARK PARTICIPATING PROJE~, COLORADO <br /> <br />This multipurpose project is located in west-central ColoradO in Gunnison <br />and M:>ntrose Counties near the cHy of Montrose. The project will provide <br />a full water supply to 1,610 acres of land and a supplemental supply to <br />4,500 acres. It will also provide benefits to fish and wildlife and <br />recreation. <br /> <br />Construction was launched when the contract to build Silver Jack Dam was <br />awarded on October 4, 1966, to the joint venture of Johnson Brothers <br />Highway and Heavy Constructors, Inc., and D. H. Blattner and Sons, Inc., <br />Utchfield, Minnesota, on the low bid of $3,539,101. <br /> <br />Silver Jack Dam, an.earthfill embankment about 138 feet high and 1,070 <br />feet long, will be built on Cim arron Creek at an elevation of about <br />8,940 feet. Its reservoir will have a total capacity of 13,520 acre- <br />feet. The contract also includes the construction of a concrete spillway, <br />outlet works, various appurtell8.nt concrete structures, and 1.1 miles of <br />. access and service roads. 1'he work will take about 4 years to complete. <br />As of June 30, 1967, the construction work was 23 per cent completed. <br /> <br />CENTRAL l1l'Al! PARTICIPATING PROJE~, BONNEVILLE UNIT, UTAH <br /> <br />The Bonneville Unit is a part of the Initial Phase of the Central Utah <br />Project. It is located in central Utah in the eastern part of the <br />Bonneville Basin and in the western part of the Uinta Basin. It will <br />provide a full water supply for the irrigation of 43,740 acres of additional <br />land, a supplemental water supply to 112,790 acres of partially irrigated <br />lands, 79,000 acre-feet of water annually for municipal use, and 133,500 <br /> <br />
