This subactivity will be conducted by the staff. <br />Subactivity 16 - Evolve the State, Federal and Private Roles for Resolving <br />the, Prob 1 ems <br /> <br />1475 <br /> <br />The MRBC staff will evolve and describe the roles of the states, federal <br /> <br />agencies and private entities for resolving the problems within the Missouri <br /> <br /> <br />Region as limited by the existing physical, legal, financial and institutional <br /> <br />arrangements. If existing constraints are such that a problem cannot be solved, <br /> <br />the limiting factor or factors will be identified and narratively discussed. <br />The study director will prepare a technical memorandum documenting the <br />results of activity three. Upon approval by the Overview Committee and <br /> <br />endorsement by the MRBC it will then be transmitted to WRC. <br /> <br />ACTIVITY FOUR - ESTABLISH STATE/REGIONAL PRIORITIES, DEVELOP CONCLUSIONS <br />AND RECOMMENDATIONS AND PREPARE THE STATE/REGlmIAL REPORT <br /> <br />The objectives of this activity are to: (1) establish state/regional <br /> <br />priorities for Level B studies; (2) develop recommendations and conclusions <br /> <br /> <br />for resolving the problems in the region; and (3) prepare a state/regional <br /> <br />report. <br />To accomplish these three objectives five subactivities will be con- <br />ducted by the regional assessment participants. <br />Subactivity 17 - Develop Conclusions and Recommendations <br />During this subactivity the information that has been evolved in <br />the previous subactivities will be synthesized to evolve conclusions and <br /> <br />recommendations concerning: <br /> <br />.' Needs for planning--identify and recommend the time frame <br />(1975-1985 and 1985-2000), the geographic area covered, and <br />the type of study or program (Level B, Level C, special, <br />implementation) that should be conducted to resolve problems <br /> <br />within each study area. <br /> <br />-9- <br />
