After review and <br /> <br />endorsement by the Overview Committee, the Study Director will document the <br />results of Activity One (Problem Identification) in a technical memorandum <br />to be transmitted to WRC. <br /> <br />ACTIVITY TWO - SELECT STATE/REGIONAL DESIRES AND OBJECTIVES; SCREEN PROBLEMS <br />AND DOCUMENT RESULTS <br /> <br />The objectives of this activity are to: (1) Develop a Regional Pref- <br /> <br /> <br />erence Future; (2) Develop a Final List of Problems, Problem Areas, and <br /> <br /> <br />Analytical Areas; and (3) Document All Assumptions and Methodologies. To <br /> <br />meet these three objectives, seven subactivities will be conducted by the <br /> <br />Missouri River Basin Commission. <br /> <br />1377 <br /> <br />Subactivity Five -- Review and Evaluation of Nationwide Analysis Results <br />The information and data furnished by the Water Resources Council out- <br />lining the Modified Central Case will be transmitted to the Group A partici- <br />pants for review and analysis and will be utilized by them, in part, to <br />evolve the State and Regional Preference Futures (Subactivities six and seven). <br />Subactivity Six -- Develop the State Preference Future <br />The State Preference Future is each individual state's desired and pros- <br />pected level of development and/or nondevelopment for the time periods 1975- <br />1985 and 1985-2000 consistent with that state's goals, objectives, and desires <br /> <br />as well as their socio-economic projections and associated land and water <br /> <br />utilization. To evolve the State Preference Future the Group A participants <br /> <br /> <br />from the Missouri River 8asin states will determine and document the state's objec- <br />. <br /> <br />tives, desire~, and goals along with projectio~s of socio-economic conditio~s <br /> <br />including the associated water and land use for the years 1985 and 2000 by ASA <br /> <br />or state portion of each ASA.
