My two children graduated from <br />Central High School. My daughter graduated from Western State College. and my son graduated from Mesa State College. They <br />still live In the valley, my daughter Laura. is a schoolteacher at Bookcliff Middle School. and my son Mark IS a crew leader at West <br />Star Aviation. The most pressing is the rapidly expanding water user population and the <br />resulting Increase In water consumption. This additional water treatment capacity must be addressed in the immediate future to <br />insure the District is able to meet this demand. I feel that my years of experience in soliCIting and awarding contracts <br />and contract management will be helpful in the immediate challenges the District faces regarding population growth. This is good. sound bUSiness practJce. and I will work to make sure the <br />District continues with thiS policy_ <br />. I will insist that the District move forward With new technology. and that the Board of Dwectors is "on board" with this new <br />technology The Board must be responsive to changing conditions_ <br />. The District must not become another tax burden to you. the user. <br />. Main Line Upgrade on Gunnison Ave. from Grand Valley Drive to East Valley Street. This <br />project is a continuation of the 200 r Gunmson Avenue main line upgrade project. [Planned <br />Construction Period - Summer] <br />. Main Line Upgrade on F 1/4 Road from 32 Road to 1-70 Business loop. ThiS project is the <br />first phase of a planned 8" distribution line upgrade between 32 and 33 Roads. [Planned <br />Construction Period - Late Summer] <br />. Main Line Upgrade/Replacement from D Road to Bin Road. This project is the first phase <br />of a two phase effort to upgrade and replace the main transmission line serving the Orchard <br />Mesa and Whitewater service areas of the District. [Planned Construction Period. Fall to Early <br />Winter] <br />. New Finished Water Storage Tank..
