The following definitions shall be applicable for the purposes of
this part:

An entity who has offered to enter into a CRSCP contract in
accordance with the provisions of this part.

Direct costs of establishing a conservation practice or a
designated component of a conservation practice, and includes
the cost of labor, supplies, and other direct costs required for
physical installation of a practice.

The calculated cost, determined by averaging recent actual costs
and current cost estimates, considered to be necessary for a
participant to carry out a conservation practice, a designated
component of a practice, or a system of practices.

All of an eligible conservation practice or a part thereof, that
when carried out can be clearly identified as a segment in the
sequence of carrying out the conservation practice.

A subdivision of a State organized pursuant to applicable State
law. The term includes bodies variously known III the States, for
example; conservation district, soil conservation district, soil and
water conservation district, natural resource district, resource
conservation district, or natural resource conservation district.

A written plan of farming or ranching operations designed to
solve identified problems. It schedules the participant's
decisions concerning land use, management systems, and cost-
shared and non-cost-shared practices to be installed on land in
the unit to protect, develop, and use the soil, water, air, plant,
animal resources and human considerations and related
resources. Also referred to as a conservation plan schedule of
operations.

A measure commonly used to meet a specific need in plannin~
and carrying out soil and water conservation programs for which
standards and specifications have been developed. It may be all
or part of a resource management system.

Site specific documents that establish the technical details and
workmanship required to install the practice in accordance with
requirements of the practice standard.
