<br />Subpart A - General Background and Provisions <br /> <br />. ,"' <br />-..1 <br />~,} <br />o <br /> <br />~600.07 STATE SCCC COMPOSITION AND RESPoNsIBIqrrIES (continued) <br /> <br />- coordinate activities at the project level. <br /> <br />- insure adequate public participation, including public <br />meetings for carrying out CRSCP activities at the local level. <br /> <br />- develop procedures for coordination between CRSCP and <br />other Agency programs at the local level. <br /> <br />- review, approve, and forward to USDA SCCC: <br /> <br />· PIP. <br />· annual progress reports. <br />· annual M&E reports. <br /> <br />- help monitor and evaluate proje'cts, when appropriate. <br /> <br />~600.08 LOCAL SCCC COMPOSITION AND RESPONSIBILITIES <br /> <br />Local SCCC is composed of NRCS, CFSA, CSREES, CDs and <br />other agencies, as applicable. <br /> <br />Local SCCC shall: <br /> <br />- consult with Federal and State agencies when developing PIP <br />criteria to ensure: <br /> <br />· that a process exists and actions are taken to carry out <br />approved PIP. <br />· an adequate level of public participation in carrying <br />out PIP. <br /> <br />- ensure in writing, that Native American tribes owning land <br />located in the project areas are encouraged to appoint <br />a representative to the local SCCC, and maintain <br />file copy of letter. , <br />- encourage other agencies and local groups to use their <br />resources to carry out the projects. <br />- annually develop informatIOnal and educational activities <br />about the projects. <br />- review PIP. <br />- prepare progress report. <br />recommend changes in PIP. <br />help monitor and evaluate projects, as appropriate. <br /> <br />(INTERIM) <br /> <br />(300-VI-NCRSCPH, JUNE 1995) <br /> <br />600-7 <br />
