- coordinate activities at the project level.

- insure adequate public participation, including public
meetings for carrying out CRSCP activities at the local level.

- develop procedures for coordination between CRSCP and
other Agency programs at the local level.

- review, approve, and forward to USDA SCCC:

· PIP.
· annual progress reports.
· annual M&E reports.

- help monitor and evaluate proje'cts, when appropriate.

~600.08 LOCAL SCCC COMPOSITION AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Local SCCC is composed of NRCS, CFSA, CSREES, CDs and
other agencies, as applicable.

Local SCCC shall:

- consult with Federal and State agencies when developing PIP
criteria to ensure:

· that a process exists and actions are taken to carry out
approved PIP.
· an adequate level of public participation in carrying
out PIP.

- ensure in writing, that Native American tribes owning land
located in the project areas are encouraged to appoint
a representative to the local SCCC, and maintain
file copy of letter. ,
- encourage other agencies and local groups to use their
resources to carry out the projects.
- annually develop informatIOnal and educational activities
about the projects.
- review PIP.
- prepare progress report.
recommend changes in PIP.
help monitor and evaluate projects, as appropriate.
