At the end of water year 1991, <br />the elevalion was 6IJ77.7 wilh 1,586,397 acrc,feet of live <br />storage (94 percent of capacity). <br /> <br />As with other drainage areas in the Upper Colorado River <br />Basin~ precipitation in the San Juan Basin was near normal. <br />Actual inflow to Navajo Reservoir for water year 1991 was <br />937,OCXJ acre-feet, 98 percent of normal. The reservoir reached a peak elevation of6,078.7 <br />feel on June 29, ]991. <br /> <br />During May of 1991, release of 3,000 cfs were made in order <br />to accommodate studies for endangered f1sh and to flush silt <br />from the river be-d that ha.s accumulated over the past 2 years <br />of minimal release.
