' <br /> <br />3. Early in December the Towaoc_Highline-Rocky Ford Canal combination was <br /> <br />presented to the Ute Mountain Ute Indian Tribe. <br /> <br />4. The Tribe asked the Bureau to evaluate a plan prepared by the BIA in lieu <br /> <br />of the plan in the Dolores Project's Definite Plan Report and the Towaoc- <br /> <br />Highline-Rocky Fork Canal combination. <br /> <br />5. A letter was handcarried to the Tribe on March 2 stating the Towaoc- <br /> <br />McElmo Creek combination was still the best plan. <br /> <br />6. McElmo Creek has been submitted as, a new advance planning start in the <br /> <br />FY 1986 budget,proposal. <br />MEEKER DOME UNIT, COLORADO <br /> <br />1. Monitoring continues to show favorable results. <br /> <br />2. The Final Preliminary Findings Report was sent to the Washington Office <br /> <br />on February 29, 1984, for approval. This report will be available to the <br /> <br />public as soon as it is approved. <br /> <br />3 The Planning Report is still scheduled for April 1985. No environmental <br /> <br />statement will be required. <br /> <br />PRICE-SAN RAFAEL RIVERS UNIT, UTAH <br /> <br />1. November 15-16, 1983, meetings were held at Price and Castle Dale, Utah, <br /> <br />to discuss alternative plans for reducing salt loading and to select a <br /> <br />recommended plan. <br /> <br />2. The recommended plan calls for lining leaky sections of Class A canals <br /> <br />and eliminating water in canals during winter by enlarging and lining <br /> <br />stock watering ponds. <br />
