On January 31, 1984, the Feasibility Report/Final Environmental Statement <br /> <br />was sent to Washington for filing with the Environmental Protection Agency. <br /> <br />2. The Feasibility Report/Final Environmental Statement was filed on February <br /> <br />10, 1984, and is now available to the public. <br /> <br />3. Draft legislation for construction authorization in the Uncompahgre Valley <br /> <br />and a Summary Fact Sheet for Office of Management and Budget (OMB) review <br /> <br />were prepared and sent to Washington on February 28, 1984. <br /> <br />4. Advance planning investigations have started on the winter water portion <br /> <br />of the study and the Advance Planning ,Plan of Study was sent to Washington <br /> <br />for review on February 10, 1984., <br /> <br />5. Tri-County Water Conservancy District has agreed to be the contractor <br /> <br />and do the advance planning investigations for the winter water segment <br /> <br />through a grant with Reclamation. <br /> <br />6. Uncompahgre Valley Water Users Association passed a resolution agreeing <br /> <br />to have Tri-County do the work. <br /> <br />7. Initial investigations are underway on the remaining portion of the unit-- <br /> <br />the Lower Gunnison Basin-North Fork Area. Grand Mesa, Fruitland Mesa, <br /> <br />and Crawford Water Conservancy Districts have been contacted to inform <br /> <br />them of the study and seek ideas on public involvement plan preparation. <br /> <br />MCELMO CREEK UNIT, COLORADO <br /> <br />1. A study to determine the appropriate size to construct the Towaoc Canal- <br /> <br />McElmo Creek combination is underway. <br />
