During October a field review and reconnaissance of the study area was <br /> <br />made in which filtered and treated water samples were collected for <br /> <br />analysis. <br /> <br />2. Canal seepage information was collected in the Emery irrigated area in <br /> <br />November. <br /> <br />3. Examination and interpretation of existing drill hole data continues. <br /> <br />4. Meeting was held with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Utah <br /> <br />Division of Wildlife Resources regarding potential alternatives and a <br /> <br />visit was made to potential sites. Major environmental disturbance will <br /> <br />be to riparian habitat. <br /> <br />5. The contract with a private company to do data collection has been termi- <br /> <br />nated. Future data collection will be done by the Durango Projects <br /> <br />Office. <br /> <br />6. The study is being accelerated by 5 months. We plan to complete the <br /> <br />Planning Report/Draft Environmental Statement in September 1986. <br /> <br />GLENWOOD-DOTSERO SPRINGS UNIT, COLORADO <br /> <br />1. At the November 7-B meeting the Forum recommended that Reclamation proceed <br /> <br />with filing the Planning Report/Environmental Impact Statement although <br /> <br />the State has not agreed on a beneficial use of the saline water. <br /> <br />2. The Forum also recommended we withdraw water rights filing. This has been <br /> <br />done. <br />
