THE AMITY MUTUAL IRRIGATION COMPANY

15 5'Y'ttorne~'s Report
TO
THE AMITY MUTUAL IRRIGATION COMPANY

TO THE STOCXHOLDERS OF
THE AMITY MUTUAL IRRIGATION COMPANY

This report represents one of the many your attorneys
have been privileged to submit to you annually over the past
several years and it is always with pride that we report 10 you
each year on the legal aspects of your Company during the past
year.

This past year, with few notable exceptions, has been a
year in which your Attorneys have attended to, and advised your
board In connection with all the numerous matters of a legal
nature which arise out of the operation of a business such as
yours.

During the past year, however, your attorneys, along with
the Board of Directors, have been involved In some three matters
which would deserve mention.

The lirst of these involves certain meetings and discussions
held with the Ft. Lyon Canal Company concerning the utilization
of the lake. comprising the Great Plains Storage System lri a
dUferent manner which might possibly benefit both the Ft. Lyon
and the Amity. Th1s matter was InlUated by the FL Lyon, meetings
held, and various proposals brought forth by both companies. In
the opinion of your attorneys, these proposals were general In
nature and not specific In many areas. In other words, we would
state they were exploratory In nature In an attempt to determine U
and how, usage of said storag.. could be better used for the benelit
01 all concerned. At the present this maller is inactive to a certam
extent.

\
,
'\

The second item .of particular Interestls the Trtnldad pro-
Ject. Without again attempting to go Into the history or background
of this preject. we would like to point out these matters:

Your Company, along with either members of the Ditch
ASSOCiation, has entered an appearance In Court In Trinidad In
oPposltion to the proposal of the Model Reservoir to change Its
storage to the stream bed of the river. This change of course Is
essential to the project.

1:-'

I

,

Pa.e '1
