<br />.<'~ II <br /> <br />'~", Q ':1 <br />...... -'-.. . <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />-11 - <br /> <br />National Recreation Area shall consist of approximately 70,450 <br /> <br /> <br />2 acres of the lands, waters, and interests therein, and <br /> <br />3 improvements thereon within the area generally depicted as the <br /> <br />4 "Gunnison Gorge National Recreation Area" on the map referred to <br /> <br />5 in section 101 of this Act. <br /> <br />6 (b) ADMINISTRATION.-- <br /> <br />7 (1) IN GENERAL. -- The Secretary, acting through the <br /> <br />8 Director, Bureau of Land Management, shall administer, protect, <br /> <br />9 and develop the Recreation Area in accordance with the purposes <br /> <br />10 outlined in section 101(d) of this Act and the Act of October 21, <br /> <br />11 1976 (90 Stat. 2744; 43 U.S.C. 1701) as amended. <br /> <br />12 <br /> <br />(2) SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES. -- In administering the <br /> <br />13 Gunnison Gorge National Recreation Area, in addition to other <br />14 related activities that may be permitted hereunder, the Secretary <br /> <br />15 may provide for the following activities, subject to such <br /> <br />16 limitations, conditions, or regulations as he may prescribe, and <br /> <br />17 to such extent as will not be inconsistent with either the <br /> <br />18 recreational and resource protection purposes of this Act: <br /> <br />19 <br /> <br />(A) Motorized and off road vehicle use in <br /> <br />20 designated areas. <br /> <br />21 <br />22 <br /> <br />(B) Livestock grazing and support facilities. <br />(C) Road and utility rights-of-way, including <br /> <br />23 access to private inholdings. <br /> <br />24 <br /> <br />(D) All pre-existing and historic uses, <br /> <br />25 including cattle drive and other trails. <br />
