The sampling period was
divided into a S-day composite cycle (I), August 17-21, and a 7-day cycle (II),
August 22-28. On days where there was no flow at a particular station, no
sample was collected. Two quarts of Burro Mine drainage were collec~ed daily for
the first cycle of which one was filtered by the Slick Rock plant laboratory
through Whatman #2 paper. During cycle I, the Slick Rock plant seepage was
sampled by a daily grab; during the second cycle an automatic sampler took a
sample once an hour which was composited and collected each day.

Uravan Area

River and effluent sampleswere the same size as in the Slick Rock area.
All four effluent samples at Uravan were taken daily from 24-hour composites by
company-owned splitter box samplers. Compositing periods were the same as in
the Slick Rock area.

Other Samples

One pint sediment samples for radiological analysis were taken at. each
