<br />\ <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />[IDOOffi~lJ · <br /> <br />The communities and industrial users in the area submitted tentative <br />water requests to the districts for initial delivery of water totaling <br />almost 23,000 acre-feet per year. For the purposes of this evaluation, <br />25,000 acre-feet per year were used. This operation would not require <br />additional features or costs. <br /> <br />This alternative provides for the delivery of 108,000 acre-feet of <br />supplemental water for irrigation and 25,000 acre-feet for municipal and <br />i ndustri al water use assumi ng the acqui si tion of 31,000 acre-feet of <br />Weldon Valley Canal water. <br /> <br />Authorized Narrows Unit with Municipal and Industrial <br />Water without Flood Control <br /> <br />This evaluation provided for all the authorized project functions except <br />the flood control. Without flood control, Narrows Dam would be approx- <br />imately 3 feet lower in height, the service spillway woul d not require <br />radial gates, and land acquisition wOl.lld be reduced by approximately <br />14,000 acres. The cost estimate for the Narrows Unit was based on the <br />feasibil ity design as presented in the 1976 Addendum. The plan was <br />repriced and indexed to January 1981 price levels. The reduced project <br />cost is shown in the following tabulation. <br /> <br />4 <br />
