Yuma. Arizona. have joint interests and responsibilities in the <br />efficient operation of the river between Parker Dam and the International <br />Boundary with Mexico. <br /> <br />Water Scheduling Branch personnel, Boulder City, Nevada. are responsible <br />for scheduling and establishing daily releases from Parker Dam along with <br />computation and issuance of the Master Schedule of Flows and Diversions at <br />Imperial Dam; and the Control Schedule of Colorado River at and below Yuma, <br />Arizona. <br /> <br />River Operations Branch personnel. Yuma, Arizona. obtain and coordinate <br />daily water requirements with all agencies (including Mexico) entitled to <br />delivery of Colorado River water from Imperial and Laguna Dams and submit <br />consolidated water requests to the Water Scheduling Branch in Boulder City. <br />Yuma Project Office personnel are also responsible for the operation and <br />maintenance (O&M) of the retained facilities at Imperial and Laguna Dams. <br />Senator Wash Reservoir and Pump-Generating Plant. and for releasing water <br />from Imperial and Laguna Dams in accordance with operations requirements <br />and the master schedule. <br /> <br />The Boulder City and Yuma offices assist each other by providing hydrologic <br />data. weather information, computation checks. and any other information <br />necessary for efficient operation of the river. <br /> <br />The Project Manager, Yuma, Arizona, or his appointed representative, is <br />the Bureau of Reclamation I s (Reclamation) representative on the Imperial <br />Dam Advisory Board. <br /> <br />IV. FLOWS AND DIVERSIONS <br /> <br />1. Imperial Darn <br /> <br />The total flow above Imperial Darn for calendar year 1981 was <br />6.268.000 acre-feet (provisional records). 3,166,200 acre-feet less <br />than 1980. The total flow above Imperial Dam scheduled on the Master <br />Schedule of Flows and Diversions at Imperial Dam for 1981 was <br />6.244,300 acre-feet which was 23,700 acre-feet less than the actual <br />flow. <br /> <br />The maximum mean daily release from Parker Dam was 17.500 cfs <br />maximum flow arriving at Imperial Dam was about 13,600 cfs. <br />diversion to the All-American Canal was 11,400 cfs. <br /> <br />and the <br />Maximum <br /> <br />Stored water at Imperial and Laguna Dams and Senator \.Jash Regulating <br />Reservoir was used to supplement the flow arriving at lmperial Darn as <br />required. Most of the stored water was used to meet irrigation <br />requirements in excess of master schedule requirements. Stored water <br />is occasionally used to meet master schedule requirements, especially <br />when the amount in storage is considered to be excessive. <br /> <br />3 <br />
