The actions related to the care, operation, and maintenance of <br />works retained by the Government at Imperial and Laguna Dams. <br /> <br />4, Costs of preparation of the master schedule, supervision and <br />reporting of all diversions, and all actions affecting diversions at <br />Imperial Dam and the principal points of delivery of water diverted at <br />the dam, including the keeping of records, measurements of water <br />diverted, and sediment and water sampling in compliance with the <br />program established by the Regional Director. <br /> <br />Nothing in this report is intended to interpret the provisions of the <br />Colorado River Compact (45 Stat. 1057), the Upper Colorado River Basin <br />Compact (63 Stat. 31), the Water Treaty of 1944 with the United Mexican <br />States (Treaty Series 994, 59 Stat. 1219), the decree entered by the <br />Supreme Court of the United States in Arizona v. California, et a1. <br />(376 U.S, 340), the Boulder Canyon Project Act (45 Stat. 1057), the <br />Boulder Canyon Project Adjustment Act (54 Stat. 774; 43 U.S.C. 6l8a), the <br />Colorado River Storage Act (70 Stat. 105; 43 U.S.C. 620), or the <br />Colorado River Basin Project Act (82 Stat. 885; 43 U.S.C. 1501). <br /> <br />II. MASTER SCHEDULE <br /> <br />The Master Schedule of Flows and Diversions at Imperial Dam is prepared <br />under the provisions of Article 12 (Scheduling of Water Diversions at <br />Imperial Dam) of the Contract Amendatory of and Supplemental to the <br />All-American Canal Contract dated December 1, 1932 (Contract No. Ilr-747), <br />and paragraph No.2 of the Assistant Commissioner's letter to the Regional <br />Director, Boulder City, Nevada, subj ect: "Imperial Dam Flows and <br />Diversions," dated October 27, 1965. <br /> <br />The Water Scheduling Branch, Lower Colorado Regional Office, Boulder City, <br />Nevada, each Wednesday receives the anticipated daily water requirements <br />for the following week for the agencies in the United States contracting <br />for the delivery of water from Imperial Dam and for requirements under the <br />Mexican Water Treaty from the Yuma Office of the United States Section of <br />the International Boundary and Water Commission (IBWC). <br /> <br />Weekly Master Schedule of Flows and Diversions at Imperial Dam and a <br />separate schedule, "Control Schedule of Colorado River at and below Yuma, <br />Arizona," covering flows and diversions at and below Yuma for each week <br />commencing Monday, are prepared by the Water Scheduling Branch. <br />Boulder City, Nevada, for distribution. The master schedule is also <br />transmitted to the Imperial Irrigation District at Imperial, California. <br />The schedules are based on irrigation requirements in the United States, <br />request for delivery of water under the Mexican Water Treaty, and <br />requirements for river regulation, coordinated with flood control and power <br />operations, to obtain the optimum overall use of the available riverflow. <br /> <br />2 <br />
