<br />o <br />o <br />/-lo <br />.....} <br /> <br />OBJECTIVE <br /> <br />The objective of the Greater Sagers Wash Watershed Management Plan is to reduce annual <br />sediment and salt yields from the Greater Sagers Wash Watershed to the Colorado River by <br />5,600 tons/year and 200 tons/year respectively, <br /> <br />SECONDARY OBJECTIVES <br /> <br />In addition to accomplishing the primary objective, the successful implementation of the <br />alternative/alternatives selected in this plan may re!illlt in th.e accomplislunent of oth.er <br />management objectives in the Greater Sagers Wash Watershed area. Those objectives include, <br />but are not limited to: <br /> <br />I) An increase in overall vegetative cover, plant density and diversity; <br />2) Better distribution of livestock resulting in better utilization of forage; <br />3) Additional allocations of available forage to wildlife, especially in critical winter range <br />areas; <br />4) Improved habitat for wildlife as a result of increased numbers of water sources available; <br />5) Improved riparian area condition; <br />6) Improve soil condition and productivity. <br /> <br />5 <br />
