The weir would be 10 feet <br /> <br />wide and would have a design flood capacity of 470 second-feet. The <br /> <br />headworks would be of reinforced concrete controlled by a cast iron <br /> <br />slide gate and would have a diversion capacity of 135 eecond-feet. <br /> <br />Cow Creek Diversion Dam <br /> <br />Cow Creek Diversion Dam, which would divert water from Cow Creek <br /> <br />to the Cow Creek Feeder Canal, would consist of a rolled earthfill dike, <br /> <br />a concrete overflow weir section, and headworks to the canal. The dike <br /> <br />would be 475 feet long with a crest width of 14 feet. The overflow weil: <br /> <br />would be a concrete overflow ogee type structure 40 feet wide designed <br /> <br />for a capacity of 1,930 second-feet. The headworks would be of reinforced <br /> <br />concrete controlled by two slide gates and would have a diversion capac- <br /> <br />ity of 300 second.feet. <br /> <br />Ridgway Pumping plant <br /> <br />Ridgway Pumping Plant near the Uncompahgre River would receive water <br /> <br />from Ridgway Reservoir through a cqncrete penstock 7,500 feet long and <br /> <br />with an inside diameter of 10 feet. Releases would be made from the <br /> <br />plant to the head of the McKenzie Canal through a concrete pipe discharge <br /> <br />line about 1',500 feet in lenkth and with an inside diameter of 5 feet. <br /> <br />, The pumping plant would include two identical hydraulically driven <br /> <br />turbines, each capable of delivering a max~ of 102.5 second-feet of <br /> <br />water against a maximum dynamic head of 495 feet. The turbine. would <br /> <br />be housed in a concrete maaonry building. <br />
