<br />I_ <br /> <br />EXHIBIT Ie' <br /> <br />CHAPTER III <br /> <br />PREUMINAi?Y <br />DESIGNS AND ESTIMATES <br /> <br />The dam forming Sneva Reservoir would be a rolled earthfill struc- <br /> <br />ture with a volume of 304,400 cubic yards. It would riae 82 feet above <br /> <br />the ground and at the crest would be approximatley 1,340 feet long and <br /> <br />30 feet wide. A single structure in the left abutment of, the dam would <br /> <br />serve as both the outlet works and the spillway. It would have a capac- <br /> <br />ity of <br /> <br />.90 <br /> <br />second-feet at normal water surface elevation. A was~e- <br /> <br />J <br /> <br />way would be provided from the stilling basin to release water to the <br /> <br />natural drainage on which the reservoir is located. <br /> <br />Sneva Dam and Reservoir would be in Mancos shale and are expected <br /> <br />to be reasonably watertight. Impervious embankment materials are avail- <br /> <br />able in the reservoir area and gravels for concrete aggr8gsteand per- <br /> <br />vious dam embankment are located along ,the Cow Creek channel about 1 1/2 <br /> <br />. <br />miles from the damsite. Good quality riprap is available with 3 1/2 <br /> <br />.i.,- <br /> <br />miles of the lIamsite. <br /> <br />The portion of the existing Sneva Ditl=h that passes through the <br /> <br />Sneva Reservoir area would be relocated from the sl)uth to the north side <br /> <br />of the reservoir and across Sneva Dam by a Siphon to rejoin the exist- <br /> <br />ing alignment. The realigned ditch would,be designed to release water <br /> <br />to Sneva Reservoir and to provide 'water to lands served by the existing <br /> <br />ditch. Except for the siphon across the clam, the realigned section would <br />, <br />be in earth section. The realigned section would be 0.9 mile. long <br /> <br />and would have a capacity of 25 second-feet. <br /> <br />East Dalla. Diversion Dam <br />East Dallas Diveraio~ Dam, which wuld divert water from the East <br />Fork of Dallas 'Cra. to the Dallas Feeder Canal, would consist of a <br /> <br />, , <br />, <br />, <br /> <br />,__,,_~__,_,--.J <br />
