<br /> <br />NEPA compliance in connection Winl the <br />Colorado River Storage Project (CRSP) in <br />fiscal year 1985 was limited to the pre- <br />para/ion of 71 Cafegorical Exclusion <br />Checklists. <br />Reclamation, In cooperation with the Fish <br />and Wildlife Service. concluded a 3-year <br />monitoring eftort of the endangered fishes <br />in the Colorado and Green River systems <br />In the upper basin. A new memorandum <br />of agreement was initiated between the <br />two agencies to conlinue these studies <br />for another 3 years the purpose of these <br />studies is to determine the potential im- <br />pacts of CRSP construction and operation <br />on the Colorado squawfish, humpback and <br />bony tail chubs, and to help find ways to <br />eliminate adverse effects. <br />A study on the trout fisheries in the tall- <br />waters below Fontenelle, Crystal, Navajo, <br />and Glen Canyon dams was concluded in <br />fiscal year 1985. The results of this study <br />will allow Reclamation to beller operate <br />and maintain these facilities in com- <br />patibility with this valuable resource. <br /> <br />Studies are bing conducted In the Grand <br />Canyon to determine the Impacts of the <br />operation ot Glen Canyon darn.
