<br />Glen Canyon Storage Unit: The Bureau
<br />of Reclamation has started a Iwo~phase
<br />program 01 rewinding and upratrng the
<br />generators at the Glen Canyon Darn
<br />Powerplant to take advantage 01 the in~
<br />creased generating capacity avarlable
<br />Phase One began November 7. 1983,
<br />with the uprating of the tirst 01 the eight
<br />generators ReWinding and uprating 01 the
<br />generators 3 and 5 were cornpleted in
<br />water year 1985, and work on generator
<br />number 8 started September 1985
<br />Rewinding and uprating of generators
<br />numbered 7 and 8 are expected to be
<br />complete by April 1986. Phase Two will
<br />Include the uprallng 01 Ihe previously re~
<br />wound generators numbered 2. 4, 7. and
<br />8. TI10 target completion date tor Pllasc
<br />Two rs the spring 01 1987

<br />Eden Project: Major repair work on tile
<br />spillway at Big Sandy Darn was comple-
<br />led during 1985 and tile spillway is now
<br />available lor use it needed
