Rangely Reservoir <br />The Rangely Project is located on the White River approximately six miles obove <br />the town of Rangely. The water rights are held by the Colorado River Water <br />Conservation District. The major rights include: <br />Name Decreed Capacity Appropriation Date <br />Rangely Reservoir 63,056 AF 3 July 1962 <br />Douglas Canol 120 cfs 3 July 1962 <br />Rangely Power Conduit 620 cfs 3 July 1962 <br />The project water would be used for agriculture, industry and a hydro-power <br />plant. The site is downstream of the oil shale industry in the Piceance Creek <br /> <br />area. <br /> <br />8. Ryan Gulch Reservoir and White River Pumping Pipeline <br />This reservoir is located on Piceance Creek and is supplied by 0 pumping pipe- <br />line from the White River. The rights ore owned by the Humble Oil and <br />Refining Company and consist of the following: <br />Name Decreed Capacity Appropriation Date <br />Ryan Gulch Reservoir 22,635 Af 15 December 1963 <br />White River Pumping Pipeline 100 cfs 15 December 1963 <br />The water supply for the project includes the natural runoff of Piceance Creek and <br />the direct flow runoff of the White River. The storage site is located within the <br />oil shale resource area. <br />9. 14-Mile Reservoir and White River - 14-Mile Creek Pipeline <br />This reservoir is located on 14-Mile Creek, a tributary of Piceance, and is <br />supplied by pumping from the White River. The option for the water rights are <br />held by the Humble Oil and Refining Company.
