Boies Reservoi r Tre reservoir is located on Black Sulphur Creek and is supplied by the natural flow of Black Sulphur Creek and flow from Piceance Creek. The rights are owned by the So cony Mobil Oil Company, Inc. and consist of the following: Name Decreed Capacity Appropriation Date Boies Resel'\<Oir 31,021 AF 10 July 1961 Piceance Pipeline 50 cfs 10 July 1961 Piceance Canal 50 cfs 10 July 1961 Tre available naturol flow of Black Sulphur Creek would be stored in Boies Reservoir and additional supplies would be pumped or flow by gravity from Piceance Creek. The dam is located at an excellent site and tre reservoir has a strategic location within the oil shale resource area. 6. Flattops Projects The Flattops Project is located on the South Fork of the White River and is located in approximately the same location as the Sweetwater Hydroelectric Project. The water rights are held by the Colorado River Water Conservation Distri ct. The major rights include: Name Decreed Capacity Rio Blanco Reservoir 131,034 AF Patterson Creek Collection System Piceance Bosin Collection System 60 cfs 31 October 1961 The Rio Blanco Reservoir of this project occupies the same site as the Meadows Reservoir of the Sweetwater Hydroelectric Project. The project is located near the wilderness area and in the White River National Forest and would compete for the same water as the more senior projects on the South Fork. The District has recently petitioned the water court for alternote points of storage for Rio Blanco Reservoir to Strawberry Creek Reservoir, WrayGulch Reservoir and Rangely Reservoir.
