Boies Reservoi r <br />Tre reservoir is located on Black Sulphur Creek and is supplied by the natural <br />flow of Black Sulphur Creek and flow from Piceance Creek. The rights are <br />owned by the So cony Mobil Oil Company, Inc. and consist of the following: <br />Name Decreed Capacity Appropriation Date <br />Boies Resel'\<Oir 31,021 AF 10 July 1961 <br />Piceance Pipeline 50 cfs 10 July 1961 <br />Piceance Canal 50 cfs 10 July 1961 <br />Tre available naturol flow of Black Sulphur Creek would be stored in Boies <br />Reservoir and additional supplies would be pumped or flow by gravity from <br />Piceance Creek. The dam is located at an excellent site and tre reservoir <br />has a strategic location within the oil shale resource area. <br /> <br />6. Flattops Projects <br />The Flattops Project is located on the South Fork of the White River and is <br />located in approximately the same location as the Sweetwater Hydroelectric <br />Project. The water rights are held by the Colorado River Water Conservation <br />Distri ct. The major rights include: <br />Name Decreed Capacity <br />Rio Blanco Reservoir 131,034 AF <br />Patterson Creek Collection <br />System <br />Piceance Bosin Collection <br />System 60 cfs 31 October 1961 <br />The Rio Blanco Reservoir of this project occupies the same site as the Meadows <br />Reservoir of the Sweetwater Hydroelectric Project. The project is located near <br />the wilderness area and in the White River National Forest and would compete <br />for the same water as the more senior projects on the South Fork. The District <br />has recently petitioned the water court for alternote points of storage for Rio <br />Blanco Reservoir to Strawberry Creek Reservoir, WrayGulch Reservoir and <br />Rangely Reservoir.
